I traced the problem to the battery cover. It is made of soft plastic and there is a ridge inside that applies pressure against the two batteries but being soft plastic it wears down after a few years and less pressure against the batteries is applied as a result.

They all have been p675 dated March 2020. They work fine in my Kanso.

Kanso will rock if it receives a Nucleus 7 upgrade which will mean smaller, longer battery life and direct iPhone streaming.

The Big question is will Kanso get updated with the Nucleus 7.

I'm about 4 weeks from surgery and still haven't made up my mind on the Kanso. What is holding me back is concerns with wearing hats. I'm thinking of getting it and an over the ear model for other ear.
