    We, Deaf community, don't call ourselves hearing impaired. That term is insulting and politically corrected. We prefer to be refer to as deaf or hearing-of-hearing . We worked so hard to put the old terms to dead like deaf & dumb, deaf-mute, and more. If we say we are hard of hearing, refer to us as hard of hearing people. If we say we are deaf —use the word deaf. These are the terms we want you to use.
