I AM COMPLETELY DEAF. I have 2 Cochlear implants I have no sound recognition left without them. I don't wear them all the time. I DO WEAR THEM TO GO OUT but when I'm at home I like it quiet like you. On occasion I will turn them on and enjoy sounds from movies but captions are fine for me...
