    Was curious about this....

Nice to meet you Brian; thanks for the reply much appreciated. Was seen entirely by what I'm sure was just a Tech and no audiologist; so I'll call to get an appointment when I get back in town. I did go to a VA hospital and was told it was a hearing test, they did not say the word audiogram but...

    Was curious about this....

I know it's been a coon's age since I've made any posts but I recently just got the results. While I've never had an audiogram (ever) and I'm not real sure if it was even an audiogram or not. My experience at the Vet Center was pretty bad to be honest :(. I went in on a Friday afternoon, was...

    Alive!!!

Depending on your age, there are vitamins for men that are probably more beneficial and contain less sugar. Centrum is one such vitamin. Again depends on your age and dietary needs. But if these make you feel better then great!

    Toddler with hearing loss

After a moment of considering a response I've decided I'm ending any further talk with you Bottesini. I've really tried to be as nice as I could be, to explain how I felt without being patronizing at all. I'm very sorry if there has been some sort of misunderstanding, my only intention was to...

    What did you learn today?

@CSign Thanks so much! Will do! I have a couple books so far, trying to absorb it all and not become overwhelmed is a challenge at times for me but I'm coming along I guess.

    Toddler with hearing loss

Well I sure hope that will happen. Not sure what will happen; he's my step son and he will be 3 in January. Sorry if I seem a bit ...off just trying to be supportive and such. Ya know giving my two cent's like we all are I guess.

    What did you learn today?

Today or rather Tonight I've learned that I really don't have a very clear understanding of D/deaf culture and frankly I'm trying hard to remedy that.

@Bottesini I would guess you are right. Forgive me, I never claim to know it all believe me in this lol. I have however heard the side from my step son's dad who feels as though he feels as though he may have outted his son from the deaf community. You are completely right I don't know what it's...

You sound like your doing an amazing job; and being a mom is a helluva job to begin with ;). Just sayin'. Anyways, my youngest step-son was born profoundly deaf in both ears and so his bio parents decided at the time to give him CI's so that he would be bilingual. That was the choice that they...

Another Doctor / hospital - No interpreters and "dropping the ball" - LONG

If I were your husband I would be outlandishly furious. As should you. You and all others who need/deserve said accomodations should always get them. Its against the law to screw you around like this; to put you through all of this. I'm so very sorry but I will agree with your husband about...

Hearing girl looking for Deaf/HoH friends

To add in ASL is a very visual language. So hence those who are more comfortable with d/Deaf individuals might be those who have issues with verbal communication or perhaps self esteem. Though there are those who have had rare events such as Brain surgery whereas the brain requires itself to...
