Hi Mom2Jace,
Feel free to take a look at Drew's blog, Turn On My Ears!
We have many of our feelings, trial and error, and other issues and topics on there that occurred from our initial discovery of his hearing loss, through implantation and now the beginning of his IEP process. I thought...
We took Drew out Trick or Treating last night. He did a great job, saying "Trick-Or-Treat" and "Thank You" to all the nice people that handed out candy.
Here he is saying "Trick-Or-Treat"! Trick-Or-Treat
Jesse, check out Music For New Ears at this link. They are involved in creating music specifically for cochlear implant users, and you might be able to talk to them to get extra credit on your project!
Recently we have unintentionally caused some discomfort to other parents by exposing their children to Drew. After they've met him they begin to wonder what is "wrong" with their kids.
They figure if a deaf kid is out-talking their hearing kid, there must be a problem there. I must admit, it...
Take a minute to check out the Music For New Ears page on Ideablob.com. These guys are trying to win a $10,000 grant to start a collaboration between speech and language professionals and musicians to create music designed specifically to appeal to CI users.

A few people said it was helpful, so I also made a captioned version of the...

I suggest you collect some additional information, such as:
1) How many implants do you have?
2) How long have you had your implant?
3) Are you pre-or post-linguistically deafened?
4) What age were you when you became deaf, what was your level of hearing loss, etc.
5) Do you feel your implant...
