    Marijuana

I am an occasional smoker, it helps me with my stress and anxiety. which is worse, really... smoke or take valiums? either way, my doctor recommended both. I have a perscription for valium, but don't want to run the risk of benzodiazapine addiction. pot is a plant that grows in the dirt, in my...

would you stay with an abusive person if your only place to go was to be homeless?

been there, done that. first time, i stayed. second time i did the shelter. trust me, the shelter is the best option, because once you are abused, the abuser always does it again. and once is better than twice.

Should you be notified by police or sheriff if Tornado Siren goes off??

this is a question I wonder about. I am new to Indiana but hear there are alot of tornadoes here.. I can hear them myself, but i wonder what will happen when my boys grow up. I would hope if i were not there, that a neighbor would tell them a tornado was on it's way... things like this scare me.

    ASL in public schools??

in ALL the mainstream schools my hearing daughter has gone to, they make it a poing to tell everyone she has deaf brothers. in the class the teachers usually teach one sign a week to the students, and my daughter (who is quite good at ASL) will help with other words. this gives a mild exposure...

    ASL in public schools??

as a hearing person, i can say that untill a deaf person enters your life, you really don't think about it. honestly, i never did. i have noticed the deaf community keeps to themselves, and understandably, as it becomes frustrating to try to communicate with people who have never even tried to...

:topic:my oldest son has gone to both deaf schools, and mainstream schools with an interpeter. he HATED going to the mainstream school. but then again. he was always aware that he isn't a hearing child and probably realized he was different from the rest of the kids. How do you feel if your newborn baby is deaf?

I found out my kids were deaf when they were 1 and 2 years old. and honestly, it didnt phase me at all. I figured that that is just how they are, and we would just learn sign language and love them just the same as if they were hearing. it was never a big deal for us. we were just glad that it...
