Do you believe that if anyone thinks they were fine. maybe they knows that they have slightly problem with expressing their emotions.

One day, the doctor told you that you have bi polar and all of a sudden, you would act BIPOLAR.

is it a POWER OF SUGGESTION?? :ugh3:

what do you think?

I guess telling someone that your car has the potential to go fast. Then the person will think wow, that is cool!!! Now, they will go out and turbocharge it. Get a car to live up to its potential just because someone said it was fast.

so you think so too. me too.

Some people are easily influenced by what others tell them.
Some people "get better" when given placebo medication, so yes, Power of Suggestion does "work" on some people.

Yes I believe in the power of suggestion. Just as if a doctor influences you to think you are going to get well and you do, you can also be influenced to be sicker than you need to be..

Maybe, maybe not...(more likely yes)

There are BiP folks out there that can remain calm until someone says a specific word, or a specific smell comes to mind, and their BiP symptoms are triggered.

Telling someone that they are BiP can be a trigger.

Besides, anything doctors say these days will piss most people off....

:giggle:....remembering my trip to the doctor last week...(checking my Lungs)...and he said..."Oh, you'll be fine!...You're not gonna die or anything"....

That was so weird!..I looked at my interpretor...she looked at me...both a little confused...guessing the doctor was on a "happy pill" or something...then it hit me!....was he talking with a "forked tongue"?....:giggle:

:giggle:If he told you you were going to die, would you pay him, or take a nice trip?

My dr says that I have no problems with my reproduction system but yet I get my stupid period twice a month. I wish I could mentally change it back to normal. lol

hmmm yes and no.

See, if someone went to a psychologist (you're not going to get diagnosed with Bipolar disorder by your family doc) there must have been something up with them first place right?? Otherwise why would they be there in the first place? :hmm:

It's based on underlying thinking that form your perception such as experience, education, emotions, fears, etc. So yes it is possible. If one can't comprehend what was said, then it's taken with more than a grain of salt unless your perception proves/unproves it otherwise.
