News for Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa
The jury trial for the deaf Sioux Falls woman accused of murder has been delayed again.
Forty-three-year-old Daphne Wright's trial will now began March 5th of next year, rather than January.
Last week Minnehaha County State's Attorney Dave Nelson let the court know he will be seeking the death penalty in Wright's case. Wright is accused of murdering 42-year-old Darlene VanderGiesen, who is also deaf, last February.
Prosecutors believe Wright then dismembered VanderGiesen with a chainsaw.
