Hello All
My daughter is an aspiring documentary filmmaker at George Washington University. Our family has a deaf member, her cousin lost his hearing as an infant due to meningitis and has an implant. We as a family are sensitive to the issues facing the deaf community.
She is trying to produce a documentary about a person who has learned to sign through a personal relationship. That relationship caused him to experience the difficulties of the deaf community in communicating with the non-deaf. He is now focusing on providing his professional services to the deaf community.
My daughter has high aspirations for the distribution of the film and is hopeful this film will help bring attention within the general population and business community as to the needs of the deaf community and promote others to focus their business plans to service the deaf community.
