Hi Guys,

I have DD-WRT. I LOVE DD-WRT for Router, any support company (Linksys, D-Link, etc..), DD-WRT is free Firmware

Do you have DD-WRT too?
 
I don't have one but tried to installed and no luck.
 
WRT? West River Telecommunications for an internet provider? That is what I used to have in the past.

What's big improve on between Linksys firmware and DD-WRT firmware?
 
DD-WRT work VideoPhone 100% but Linksys won't work it!
 
I have couple of wireless linksys routers and access points.

I love it and been using this firmware for few years. Love it! Very flexible with unix-like. Can add simple apps, etc...even build a small server right in the router. Way better then linksys' default firmwares!

Yup, I do and love it! What is your favorite applications in it? Mine's Kismet server/drone, one of my favorite intrusion detection kit.

DD-WRT is a third party developed firmware released under the terms of the GPL for many ieee802.11a/b/g/h/n wireless routers based on a Broadcom or Atheros chip reference design. For a list of supported devices, please see the Supported Devices page.

So if your wireless router is not based on broadcom or atheros then it won't install or work.

My router is Linksys WRT54G ver. 6.

I don't want third party firmware right now because of don't own VP but I just used to want for to make Xbox Live to get worked due firewall issue until it has been solved in last year after configuration so properly on Linksys firmware, it worked now.

Yeah, can add modules memory SD/MMC, Serial plug, reuqires soilder, I love it,

I am add MMC/SD, WEb Server, and VP 100%, I will wait for 4gb or more future, I will look upgrade DD-WRT and OpenWRT (only Linux)

That's nice for upgrading into a better server, good luck on it. My vp works fine too! Going to do a small hobby project soon to build a small server in the garage with a other Linksys router wireless speed booster (WRT54GS - Ver. 1.1) So I'll try keep this thread to update about this.

my WRT65GS V4, it is 4mb, any type, I am lucky but v5 or high only 2mb!! only micro

Mega is coming soon, it is only 8mb, GRRRRR

Lol, must be lame to have a small amount of mb. :( Mine's 32mb in WRT54GS model. But what I have running now is two WRT54G routers, one of them are wireless bridged. They are able to run almost anything I want inducing Xbox live, Iphone, vp, etc...
 
you are lucky 8mb, you can Mega Firmware!!! but I am 4mb!! GRRR, I don't worry, I not use VoIP, only Standard or VPN for 4mb fine

I use SD/MMC with web server, I mean I don't need web server in my computer, if I turn off computer, they won't read web, I am happy Router with web server are 24 hours, 7 days, won't turn off, very save money very low electic than computer's 500 or more watt, but Router is 80 watt or 2amp less are not bad
