One day, my bedroom light began to flicker, and it got so bad that it nearly burnt out, and the bulb was brand new, so I unscrewed the bulb and stuck my finger inside the part to see if there were any loose parts, and that was a mistake.
Why? Because my brother, then 6, flipped the switch and gave me a good jolt of electricity, and I managed to shut it off before getting fried. While I was getting zapped, the lights inside the house flickered, and after I unstuck my finger, I walked to a family member to tell what happened. Unbeknownst to me, my hair was standing straight up, and I took a good look in the mirror, and tried to flaten it.
The point? Never stick a finger in something that a younger brother/sister might throw a switch to, cause it felt like I was sitting in an electric chair. Lesson learned.
