Last night, family gathering at the dining table -- since I know it's long overdue for me to ask my mother further question about my father's complicated hearing loss. I was reminded to ask her again about his hearing test in the past and the recent hearing test checkup, and did the doctor ever diagnose my father that he has hearing loss and she said nope. She said that the test result was passed. It happened again, again, again many times in the past hearing test for more than 30 years the result is still the same (passed) and my father has still been complaining that he has difficult listening what the movie at the theater was talking about and in family/friends group he regularly asks my mother to interpret (speaking to him closely) what the others are conversing. I asked my mother what about hearing aids (I asked about that long time ago I acknowledged that they were useless to him as well) and nope not since he did tried to use his ampfilers in his ears...he still does not understand what's being said. Everything is almost useless for him...after the specific questions being answered to me then I made the confirmation to my family that it is strongly possible father has APD or CAPD. Some of my family have no clue what does APD/CAPD stands for. I explained to them fully...then some of them seemed to agree with me father must have it because I learned that APD is difficult to diagnose by a doctor.
My Deaf brother was being an idiot to say that me and him have APD/CAPD too. Born Deaf with nerve damages is different compared to someone who has APD/CAPD in the later life. *smh* at him.
