I learned/remembered why I don't go to the kids' school functions as often as I ought to.  Went to the end of year/graduation for my nephew's school (it's a very small school).  Sat through the entire thing...only thing I understood/heard clearly for 2 hours was... my nephew's name.  Ugh.  Family understands why I don't normally go but for big milestones like graduation (no he didn't graduate- still has about another 4 years yet) or marriage I will be there.
