Tell me what do you think? Gonna order one for myself and get rid of these pesky "Missed Calls" feature and avoid the never-ending call back volley. Also, its instant message. :deaf:

I left out one important information -- I googled "videophone answering machine" and this is where I found out more information.

I do not have video-phone. One of my friends have got the answering machine for video-phone from Scottwireless.com. He loves his little answering machine.

My Sorenson VP has missed calls feature, so I don't need that. All I need to know who tried to call me when I was not around. :)

IT COSTS MONEY!

[will post the "news" i got from my husband as soon my tmail account gets back online so I can copy/paste it into this post.]

Your friend just wasted about $130. VPcordcer from scottwireless.com costs about $199 and VP+ from deafworks.com is about $70.

Right, Sorenson keeps track of all names/phone numbers from the "Missed Calls" feature, therefore they know who call whom. That is a form of privacy invasion.

Ever wonder about this: you leave your VP off for a few days, turn on your vp, names appear in the Missed Call screen. Where did the names come from? Soreson's database server!

World's first true video answering machine that will allow
you to save the video messages to VCR, DVR, Tivo or PVR machines
automatically on every video phone calls. More info:
www.vpcorder.com
Here's how it works: Any incoming calls through the videophone
such as dlink i2eye, Sorenson VP-100, Polycom or other videophone
devices will be monitored by this awesome videophoneanswering machine
and then control the external recording machines to ensure that the
video messages will be recorded.
Only $199.00

That is the only way they can get it to work because the VP-100 does not have enough memory to hold all those missed callers. Besides, why would sorenson want to snoop though thousands upon thousands records of who called who? They probably don't even have time to do that.

Put it this way... phone companies are now starting to have digital answering machines (voice mail) where the customer can have people leave messages on the phone company's servers, rather than people buying an answering machine device. No one is red-flagging the phone companies for invasion of privacy.
