i dont get teachers!!! You would think that they would maybe by sympathetic once in awhile...but no of course not!

Today i went to class (math) and my teacher asked why i looked frusterated lately etc. I told her my hearing went down more since my last hearing test. She was like "oh that sucks", but in one of those tones you know like, o i kinda feel bad for u but not my problem, type tones. I was a lil mad considering i try really hard in her class and i have one of the highest marks, yet i still struggle with hearing especially that i have no ald's and they forget that i have hearing problems. Not to mention the "deaf" jokes that one person in my class tends to throw out once in awhile, which the teacher hears, but doesnt do anything *she chuckles while watching the smoke come out of my ears* I dont get why some people have to be so ignorant sometimes....

I can somewhat relate to how you must be truly feeling, although, don't let the emotions or what vibes you may have gotten from your teacher's response to your comment. Simply put, don't let her comment or tone 'eat you up'. To make it easier, does she/he go home with you, spend the night with you, go out with you--like to the movies, restaurants, shopping and other activities? No...she/he doesn't, so the point I'm making is don't let her comment work up inside of you. Go 'out' whatever it is that you enjoy doing when not in school...and........

Congratulations on your 'high marks' and good work!! :thumb:

Hold your chin up high and move forward...life's precious, in other words, handle it with care even if it means that there are some that are out there won't show that they care...but there are others that do!!! ;)

Now...cheer up and have a great day now!! :)

Thanks, your right i dont hang out with the guy who makes the jokes nor do i really have to worry about teachers that much longer cuz school is almost done!:) Next year should i request an ald maybe? (if i dont get hearing aids in the summer)( i found out july 4th)

i missed a lot of assignments in my algebra class because i never heard her give them out... and when i went in without my work, i'd say that i didn't hear her, but i'd still get in trouble for not listening... i tell all my teachers when i meet them, "i'm hard-of-listening." they just stare at me...
*rolls eyes*
i'm hoping i can get hearing aids or something before i go off to university in August.... it's going to be FUN in those bigger classes and such... i'm kinda nervous.... my parents want me on the dean's list....

that is why high school was very awful for me. please remember that you are not alone
