[IDF] USB 3.0 Data Transfer Demonstrated for 1st Time -- Tech-On!
Very nice but volts is not change since. Firewire is better than USB for high volts that you can use firewire connection to 3.5" EHDD and other device without power adaptor but USB done.
USB 3.0 still great for USB flash, digital camera, mobile, and maybe printer/copier (good for single computer)
