I just found out something very interesting today.
smile.gif Even though I already have a book called
"Little Women" that I received on my 13th birthday (I
still have it but it's up in the attic in a box with
my other old books -- I will have them down
later).....I found a smaller book on "Little Women".
This is a "Collector's Library" item and on the cover
it says "Complete & Unabridged".
Since I remember the pages in the first "Little Women"
I own, I noticed that this new book has some things
missing in it....like the babies being born in the
story.
Well, curiousity came upon me, and I looked up this
title in this URL:
http://digital.library.upenn.edu/books (The Online
Books Page), and I found out that the new "Little
Women" book is the U.K. version, and the one I
received as a teenager was the U.S. version (with more
chapters in it!).
This is the first I've seen a classic having two
different versions.....the U.K. version has the Part 1
of Little Women. The U.S. version has both parts in
the book which is the whole book.
Are there any other books did any of you find were
different between different countries? smile.gif
