Google is very smart, afford, easy to troubleshooting and replace quick. They made good point about built-in battery.

Wow, that's impressive! Looks like Google built their homemade servers, pretty much.

Server do not need video. You can use desktop remote thru NIC.

Yup, It does use NIC to control from desktop or workstation.. I've tried Smoothwall Linux before and using NIC on "headless" server to my desktop. I had to configure IP address to match so I can "see" it's screen from Server on my desktop.

If you set VNC on Windows and treat it as a "Client" while your system is a VNC "server". You can see its desktop as well even the Client don't have monitor hooked up to. That's why IT people use it.

At my work, There are "switchbox" that you press button and it switch from one desktop to another without working on individual workstations on machine. This make life easy for ET thus saving money for not using many monitors.

That's why Google IT people can control everything from workstation to maintain servers.

I personally wish I could learn how to use system that set "boot from Network" instead of hdd ect. Many mobo are configured to boot from Network upon BIOS selection. That's something new for me. If anyone know how then give me a challenge to learn!!
