I am trying to find day care for my two girls because I will be in college this September 6 So anyway

I called them and two of them say yes available and asked me if I have voucher, I told them no, I do pay ourself, then they say Oh sorry Not available? why? :hmm:

We are looking for daycare for our little girl too since we both are going to work. Voucher is under govt. I think. That daycare must be only for people that use voucher. Maybe go to WIC office and see if you can get one.

The vouchers come from the dept of human services....try your local office to see if you qualify. As a single parent returning to school, you probably do qualify.

Some daycares are required by law to hold slots for those parents that are paying with a voucher.

You know that I do not want voucher and can pay day care ourself.

because Seem that day care prefer voucher?

Or find daycare that will take your payment without voucher. My friend paid 400 a month daycare for his 2 kids. He doesn't use voucher.

Not reallythat they prefer it, but that they are required to hold voucher spots open to make sure that people using vouchers also have access to daycare. Truth be known, a daycare makes more from parents that are paying themselves, and that's why they are made to give up some slots for vouchers. They wouldn't take the kids using vouchers otherwise, becasue they don't get paid as much for them.
