I read both "For Better or For Worse" and "Garfield" daily comic strips on my homepage....and in the "For Better or For Worse" comic strips for two days, we readers were taught a lesson: there are two meanings of saying the word "Thank You".
The first comic strip (yesterday's) I attached was April's classmate Becky, who recently became "stuckup" after she had her first big break with her singing....and never got time to do her book report. She asked April if she could use her book report so she can turn it in as her own....April only gave her an outline, which Becky then said Thank you. In reality, Becky was really using April and her "Thank you" didn't really mean anything to April.
The second comic strip (featured today) was of Shannon, a slow learner, who geniunely appreciated April's email since no one else would email her because she's "different". Shannon thanked April for the email, and you can tell by Shannon's actions that she really meant her thanks.
