I was watching TV last night about the two florida brothers, Alex and Derek King, accused of killing their father with a baseball bat ...and where does Ricky Chavis plays the role in all of this as far I've seen as he did molesting these young boys also kidnapping them, but did he play the role in the murder of their father so he can have these boys all to himself?....

Here are a few details of this story ...

More than four months after Alex and Derek King, ages 12 and 13, told the police in Pensacola that they killed their father on Nov. 26 with an aluminum baseball bat, the brothers changed their story, and a grand jury indicted a convicted child molester, Ricky Chavis, left, for the killing. The maternal grandmother of the boys said she believed that Mr. Chavis, who had been a friend of the victim, Terry King, 40, initially convinced the boys that they could take the blame and avoid punishment because of their youth. Alex's lawyer has said that Mr. Chavis molested the boy.

Ricky Chavis was charged with kidnapping and molesting the younger of two brothers who admitted killing their sleeping father with a baseball bat was acquitted of most of the charges. The defendant, Ricky Chavis, was found not guilty of 10 molestation charges and a kidnapping charge, but found guilty of a lesser charge of false imprisonment. Jurors returned the verdict after deliberating about three hours. Mr. Chavis, 41, was charged with having sex with Alex King, when the boy was 12, in the months before he and his brother, Derek, killed their father on Nov. 26, 2001.

Ricky Chavis is found guilty of washing blood off clothing of two young sons of Terry King and hiding boys in his mobile home for nearly two days after they bludgeoned their father to death in their home in Pensacola, Fla, and then set house ablaze; is sentenced to five years in prison for witness tampering and 30 years for accessory to murder; brothers--Alex, now 13, and Derek, 14--have pleaded guilty to third-degree murder

The former talk show host Rosie O'Donnell has hired a prominent criminal lawyer in Miami to help represent two young brothers convicted in the fatal beating of their father. Ms. O'Donnell, who is known for supporting children's causes, called the lawyer, Jayne Weintraub, two weeks ago and asked her to help win a new trial for the brothers, Alex and Derek King, ages 13 and 14. Ms. Weintraub said she was representing only Alex to avoid a potential conflict of interest. A judge tossed out the brothers' second-degree murder convictions on Thursday and ordered prosecutors and defense lawyers to try to settle the case.

DISPLAYING ABSTRACT - Editorial says judge in Florida was right to toss out murder convictions of Alex and Derek King, teenage brothers, in death of their father; calls case surreal; notes that prosecutors, uncertain who was responsible for killing, decided to proceed against boys in one trial and, at same time, against different suspect, Ricky Chavis, under different theory, in second trial; says prosecutors cannot ask jurors to find defendants guilty beyond reasonable doubt when prosecutors themselves are uncertain about who committed the crime

What do you guys think?...

Wow, these young boys must had been brainwashed by Chavis. They re only in their pre-teens for god sake and shouldn't be subject to punishment.
