Daphne Wright will stand trial for the kidnapping and murder of Darlene VanderGiesen on May 1st.
The 42-year-old deaf woman faces two counts of first degree murder and one count of kidnapping. Police believe she killed VanderGiesen on February 1st, then dismembered and disposed of her body.
Wright rolled her eyes as a sign language interpreter relayed the judge's reading of the murder charges. She's pleaded not guilty on all counts.
Nearly thirty people filled the courtoom to watch the arraignment hearing Tuesday morning.
If convicted, Wright could be sentenced to life in prison or the death penalty.
