Townsend Farms Organic food Recall

You have to have a trade off, totally organic foods can be risky you need to have some protection from disease.

I do not waste my money on organic foods, I really do not think you can really grow organic foods with all the pollution in the air , soil , and water.
If someone did not wash their hands after going to the bathroom at the factory they could had spread the hepatitis into the berries.

Good odds that's how it happened. Nothing to do with being organic I don't think.

It mostly has to do with poor hand washing and a dirty factory. But it's rather ironic as people think organic food is safe , being organic mean nothing if the environment is not clean. This is why I feel is a waste of money to buy organic food. You really have no way of knowing how the food was handing during processing and shipping or who was handling the food. I know any food we buy can be unsafe and being organic does not mean a food is 100 %
safe. I am not going to pay $3.00 for a few bananas or whatever!

Not gonna argue that. If the place is filthy you're gonna get nasty food. I grow and hunt a lot of my food. I also know a lot of farmers so I get stuff from them too. I like knowing where my food comes from.

I met farmers at difference times and they all told me that will not buy Hood milk or Frank Perdue chickens . There is nothing wrong in wanting to know where your food come from. I am always asking where my veggies are coming when there is no sign saying where it was grown . I like to buy food grown in USA but it's getting harder to do all the time.

Oh, I also have chickens so I know where my eggs come from but sometimes that doesn't make it better!

I have had fresh laid chicken eggs and I think they do taste better and the yolks are brighter yellow and firmer looking. I had duck eggs once, I think they where a little stronger tasting . Do you mean you feel guilty eating the eggs? I think I might if I had chickens , I could end up having a yard full of chickens LOL!! I would be a horrible farmer , I would never be able kill a chicken to eat, it would like eating a pet. The cost of food is insane right now, $4.00 for a small box of blueberries. I wish I could grown them but I live in a condo.

Our eggs taste so much better than store bought ones but if you've ever watched where en egg comes out of you kinda feel bad for the chickens

I have blackberries, strawberries and apples at my place, I want to plant some rhubarb and blueberries this year. Our apple tree made 1 stinking apple this year but last year it make like 300 pounds. I want to get set up for cider this year in case we get another good crop.

I like to know where my food comes from too and enjoy the farmer's markets because often you meet and discuss the with the farmer.

I had duck eggs too whatdidyousay! They were from the market - and yeah, they were different - more rich. But the yolks from fresh, local eggs are indeed different, too. Brighter, in my experience.

The store brought strawberries looks real strange lately, it looks like they been dyes red as the tops of the berries are so white compared to the rest of the berries. The apples are coated with some crap and it looks like you could light an apple and use it for a candle! I am not able to skin of an apple as it's too tough. I Have seen chicken laid eggs before at a farm I worked at. We had a rooster too so I left really bad taking the fertilized eggs.

Duck eggs are bigger too so you really only need to cook one. The store brought eggs are runny something and the yolks are not a rich tasting . grocery markets foods suck compare to fresh food. I would loves to be able to grow my own food like I did in California . I grew potatoes once and they where yummy and very easy to grow.

I like to grow potatos. They keep all winter and you can plant them again in the spring. But i also like corn and peas and well you get the picture :D my favorites are beans cause you can make dilly beans with them.

True, the duck eggs are bigger. I saw emu eggs at the market once! I really wanted to try them but they were much more expensive. Farmers' markets are one of my favorite things about Summer.

I love beans of all kinds.
