Christ sake its only a spring training game, I can see why baseball is going to die just like the NHL. Baseball needs to improve the game and on umpires handle the players. I went to orioles game and that damn umpire eject sammy sosa.Fans pay good money to watch these big money player. Im gonna write a letter to bug selig and tell him hes gonna lose more fans because of these umpires have a big chip on their shoulders. Baseball should look at the NFL on how refs handle the coaches and players. I never ever recall an NFL ref ever eject a player or a coach.NFL refs just penalize players by giving them a 15 yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. NHL refs never ejects players or coaches nether. Its time commisoner step up and restrant them umpires and warn them any unessary ejection of any player will face a stiff fine a demotion to AAA.
So umpire better have a damn good excuse for ejecting a player or he can start umpiring in ther minor leagues.

NFL players get ejected, Steve. It does happen. If a player is out of line, it's the umpires duty to toss them from the game. Rules are rules, and these guys have to play by them.

When do you ever see an NFL player or coach ejected? Tell me the date and game and ill look into it. I never seen or heard NFL player get ejected. All the NFL does is fine you. When Randy Moss mooned when he was in the end zone NFL fined him refs didnt throw him out. When Brian Billick scremed at the side judge telling him""" Hey what game youre watching? Ref Said this one, Billick said,,Well i doesnt look like it when one of my men was behing held and you didnt throw a flag""" See if manager made that kind of comment to the umpire he would been ejected.

NFL players doesnt have bats with them. MLB players does. The Refrees are scared of weapons and choose edjected them to stay alive. NFL players has towels and the football coaches has paper clipboard.

A player will get thrown out of a game if they fight. If a violation is flagrant enough to warrant it, they get tossed out of the game, and they also draw fines. Every time a player has ever been ejected from a game, they drew fines for the violation. I can't cite you a date or time, but it happens. Stop ranting, Steve. Chances are you are misinterpreting what happened. You do that alot.

Yeah Thats the only exception. But Sosa didnt start a fight. He was arguing with an umpire for taunting the fans out the left field. Well reggie jackson said something to me when i was yacking to him and he didnt get ejected. Well bud selig is gonna read my letter and maybe he will improve the game and restrict umpires next spring training. I drove two hours paid $2.04 a gallon to fill up my car paid $15 and the umpire threw sammy sosa out the first inning for taunting the fans out the left field in a spring training game? Well i have another shot watching sammy sosa at st lucie when the mets play the orioles. Im going to the stadium supervisor and request a FULL REFUND if umpires do anything to sammy sosa. That will make the supervisor go down to the umpires lockeroom and ask the umps dont do anything to sammy sosa. This fan paid good money to watch him play and i dont want him comming to me asking for a refund. And when i do get a refund and im going to parking attendant and ask for a refund and if he refuses im gonna mug him for my parking money back. Whats hes gonna do? about it? Leave his job and run to the cops?? Good he`ll be fired for leaving his job site. Cause i know bosses come down on employees hard who abandon their job site.

Go ahead, write a letter. I'm fairly certain that they'd love to hear your insights on this.

I agree with Oceanbreeze. There's a line there - if a player acts out, then he will face the consequences for it later. Severity of the consequence is based on the severity of the act. Umpires and referees are there to do a job and I firmly believe that they do that task.

Get over it.

If life were one big ball game, I think you'd have been ejected a long time ago.

I only watch Nascar, NFL, NBA, and my girlfriend stripping. :smash:

Maylo its only a spring training game. This is all over ESPN as well even reporters are question about umpires judgement calls. Baseball is gonna lose more fans soon. Look at the NFL its the most popluar sport on TV right now. And attendance is growing nationwide. If Baseball can take a page outta the NFL,The fans would comeback.
