This is the second brief narrative of our scouting operation into the Israeli/Lebanese border region and the full-scale war against Islamic terrorism that is now waging. Please read this with a soberness and a quickening of urgency to wake up and not be a carnal believer in this hour but run to the battle-line like David and take out the strong man of terrorism in this late hour.
...As our driver was quickly transporting us to the Northern border area, we spontaneously decided to make a side excursion through the rugged yet beautiful mountainous terrain of the Carmel region. We arrived at the summit and entered a National Park that overlooked the entire Northern region of the battle that was now raging. In the distance we could see Upper Galilee and the Lebanese mountains. To our right was the area that the Prophet Elijah had assembled the false prophets of Baal and called down fire from Heaven. To our left was the Western end of the Valley of Jezreel also known as the Valley of Har-Magedon (Armageddon) as it opens up into Israel's 3rd largest city of Haifa and its environs. But something was strangely missing in this picturesque scene? Then I realized...it is so quiet.... There is very few cars on the road. There is no ships in the Haifa port and harbor. There is no sound of children playing in the beautiful parks below on their Summer vacation. The silence was deafening..... And as we continued to strain and look for the signs of a war that we have only read about in the Western news agencies, we instead began to drink in the captivating beauty of the Mediterranean coastline. Aah, this is the Israel in intimately know....
Suddenly, I'm startled out of that surreal scene with the distant crackling sounds of booming artillery batteries that are opening up on the Northern horizon. Our driver whispers to me privately that this is the exact area where we will be driving into tonight and sleeping. As soon as he finishes speaking, the air raid sirens of the Haifa area region began to wail their eerie warning...katyusha's are on the way! Then like a domino effect other sirens from the surrounding smaller Israeli and Arab cities, all the way down to Nazareth, are also joining in with their walling sirens. As this symphony of sirens and echoes fills the Mount Carmel range then we unmistakably hear the muffled thud of a terrorizing katyusha exploding in a distant agricultural field below. We see gray smoke rising from the crater in this field and I have to arrest my mind that this is not some quaint Fourth of July bottle rock that went astray...this is war and a conflict that Israel finds herself in that is the beginnings of WWIII.
As we continue to hear more of the muffled thuds of the incoming katyusha's exploding in the valley below, I'm beginning to feel the fear and the anxiety of when these missiles of terror might suddenly effect us. I look over at my beautiful Israeli wife Dalit as she is taking digital photos and think of our five lovely children back home in Atlanta. Did I really hear from God to bring this team over to this war zone in short notice to the anger of some of the families indirectly associated? As I'm pondering upon this self speculating fear I'm feeling, our driver motions us to a strange granite monument in the center of this National Park. It is a huge sculptured piece of solid granite about six feet wide and 18 feet high. The center is carved out and shaped with the Star of David with a olive branch crest with a sword pointing Heavenward. Our driver begins to explain to us that this monument is in memory of the early Zionists who had formed local militias to protect themselves from the greatest terror of their day...Adolf Hitler and his final solution. Fearing a sudden blitzkrieg invasion of Nazi storm troopers who were operating in sync with the Arab leaders, these early settlers had decided to build a fortification in Mount Carmel to fight Hitler like a modern Massada. This was the homeland of the Jewish people and they had nowhere else to go...it was this sheer courage and determination that a few years later formed the State of Israel. Their symbol of the olive branch and the sword on this monument was later adapted by the IDF and we realized we were standing in the very epicenter and womb of the natural _expression of the Lord of The Armies of Heaven! What faith and courage filled my spirit as we gazed at this monument and read on it a text in Hebrew from Isaiah 36:35, "For I will defend this city to save it for My own sake and for My servant David's sake." Speaking of the time that the Assyrian (Syrian) armies came to destroy Israel and Judah!
Suddenly our Israeli driver and war veteran notices a piece of paper inside this monument. Thinking it was trash left behind by some irrespective teenagers, he pulls it out and it is a pamphlet in Hebrew about Jesus being the Messiah! Dalit shouts, "Glory to God!" and states that she knows about this exact pamphlet and has been looking for this tract that is filled to the brim with Hebrew Scriptures pointing to the Messiahship of Jesus! What a Divine coincidence to find at the very birthplace of the symbol of the Israeli Defense Forces a pamphlet in Hebrew pointing to Jesus as being the Commander and Chief of the Armies of Heaven that Israel needs to follow!!!!
OK, I realize that we are in God's perfect will to go now Northward into the Lebanese border area and bind the strongman of terrorism. The secular Jewish State cannot do this on her own. It is a job for the remnant of believers who have been trained in art of River Warfare. The Jewish State is at a crossroads of sensing an impotence that their well-armed and well-trained army cannot fully stop these forces of terrorism. This is a spiritual war and the Valley of the Shadow of Death is upon those in Northern Israel just like those who live in the Gaza Strip area! We must comfort these people who are being tormented by the fear of death (Hebrews Chapter 2)!!!!
As we head down this mountain and into the City of Haifa to view the latest katyusha damage and later visit a hospital and bomb shelter in the Northern coastal city of Nahariya...I'm stunned to see and feel the spiritual vacuum that is all around us...we are literally walking in the Valley of the Shadow of Death yet are fearing no evil!!!! But wait a minute! The city of Nahariya is under major attack as we are speeding towards it and what does that name mean in Hebrew but none other than the RIVER OF GOD!
Oh, Abba what does that spiritually mean what I think it does....? "Yes" He says, "My River and My people are under attack...Go and Comfort them!"

I have decided to write this scouting mission update into several narrative parts for two reasons -
1) This narrative will be embedded with deep and profound Scriptural warfare principles that I would like you to meditate on and incorporate into your current walk of faith.
Let me give you an example, the above short narrative offers a window into several things we must be awaken to when dealing with the last frontier of evangelism before Jesus returns (Israel).
A. The strongman of terror must be bound by those who know the art of River Warfare. You must be living clean, holy, and an expert in street warfare if you want to rescue those in the Valley of the Shadow of death.
B. You will feel fear in this environment...and there is nothing wrong with that. But you must know how to lean heavily into his bosom to be able to walk out of it unscratched and now be continually defaulting back into the old program of being terror based. Perfected love drives out all fear! (I John 4)
C. The Israeli city of Nahariya under massive attack right now in Hebrew means the River of God. The islamic terror networks have become very offensive against us and the unsaved Jewish people ever since the River of God visited the earth powerfully in the 1990's. Demons hate water and the freedom joy and spontaneous worship. Therefore, you must see that the seeker-sensitive church movement that resists the River of God is a natural _expression of doctrines of demons in the last days.
