Why do these screams,
Not go away,
They seem to stay with me,
All night and all day.
Where do they come from?
Who are they for?
Will they ever end?
Or will there be more.
The pain from these screams,
Must be horrible I fear,
How can I stop them?
The answer’s not clear.
Have I dreamed all of this?
Or is it for real?
Are these screams from within me?
I’m not sure how I feel.
If my dreams have turned bad,
If these screams are from me,
I must stop them at once,
I shall wake and be free.
