Over 110 shooting enthusiasts and supporters of excellence in deaf education participated in the Cabot Oil and Gas Corporation/Sordoni Construction Sporting Clays Tourney to benefit The Scranton School for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children recently held at Rock Mountain Sporting Clays in Meshoppen.
George Stark, External Affairs Director for Cabot Oil and Gas Corporation, said
he was very pleased to see the generosity his industry colleagues showed by
participating in the tournament. "Our company is gratified to be a strong partner of The Scranton School. The superior work they do in educating deaf and hard of hearing children deserves our respect and support. It's the right thing to do."
Stark pointed out, "all of our employees and industry partners are an integral part of this strong support."
Donald E. Rhoten, CEO of The Scranton School for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children and the Western PA School for the Deaf, expressed deep gratitude and
amazement to the large number of participants. “Your generosity in welcoming us to this community has been overwhelming. Our students and our families are so grateful.”
Rhoten added, “We are delighted with this most generous expression of support for our kids. This will certainly help us achieve our goal of providing the very best in educational services to deaf and hard of hearing children all throughout northeastern Pennsylvania."
