Do you believe that the organization for the Deaf African American Women should be established? Why? I think that there should be one because I have been to some events that are run by a Black sorority (Delta Sigma Theta). Sometimes, I feel left out because I do not have the same connections with the hearing peers. In addition, I do notice that the Black women in the organizations are empowered to do something to give back to the African American community. I want to do the same, but there is no organization for the Deaf African American Women.

Great idea. maybe u can start one?

The Organization

I would love to start one, but the problem is money. If I start one, what things that you are looking for in that organization. My goals for that organization are promoting children of color's education by doing the mentorship/tutoring program, raising funds for college scholarships, educating and fighting for the Deaf women of color's issues and rights, and having an annual conference during summer.
