I just plucked a handful of ripe Cherry Tomatoes from our garden, washed and ate them... OMG !!!! Nothing like the mass produced store bought Hydrophonic crap... These tasted so DAMN good !!!!!
Cant wait for the Romas and Beefsteaks to be ready as well as a few other breeds.

I know what you mean , the tomatoes in the store taste rubber! A farmer use to grown veggies behind my condo but the field is gone now . He would let me pick all kind of veggies tomatoes, red peppers, zucchinis etc. Man it all taste so good.

actually the store bought are fine with texture, they are just tasteless.. My god I was amazed at the flavor from these. They are grown in a mixed compost/soils raised bed we built... no pesticides or chemicals used.... wow, just WOW !!!

I remember visiting my husbands family in Chicago. His dad had just come back from visiting a farm and brought back these huge tomatoes. We sliced them, put a little salt and parmesan cheese on them. Best I've ever had and I am not a tomato lover.

Yep, I slice them, add a little sea salt and have a tomatoe sammich...lol

They been rather tasteless here , they just do not taste as good as home grown tomatoes . I once grew some potatoes in California , I had no
idea what I was going. I jut plants some potatoes that had 'eyes ' and water them . I was not sure when to harvest them so I did a little too early but man they tasted so good! You can't beat home grown veggies!

When I was living at home we had neighbors that grew tomatoes and I would be invited over to have a tomato sandwich. It was just bread with a little mayo and a lot tomato with salt . The tomatoes where just fresh picked and still warm from the sun. Yummy! I am making myself hungry! LOL!

Finally got strong enough again to get my old garden going again. It had turned to sod. The old Troybuilt Horse has been sitting for several years with gas in the tank. I was amazed when it started on the first pull. It is late in the season but I have planted potatoes anyway. I was swarmed by voracious mosquitoes last night in the midnight daylight up here in Alaska.

I will get lots of small little new potatoes out of it. New potatoes and fresh salmon are like heaven.
