As quoted from PCWorld.com:

The study concluded that an average of 9 percent of sponsored results and 3 of organic search results link to questionable Web sites. The study was based on analysis of the first five pages of search results for each keyword tested.

According to the results of the study, the top four most dangerous searches on Google are:

free screensavers: yielding 64 percent "dangerous" links
bearshare: yielding 57 percent "dangerous" links
screensavers: yielding 55 percent "dangerous" links
winmx: yielding 51 percent "dangerous" links[/url]

Be more specific when you're searching for something online.

To help you with that, Scandoo and SiteAdvisor can help you be in your guard for adware/viruses when you're searching using Google, MSN, Ask.com, etc.

If you are living with your family and your family does Internet searching, I'd like to suggest you and your family is to change you and your family's surfing/searching habits. Either SiteAdvisor or Scandoo will do. This ensures that you and your family can help reduce the amount of spyware put into comuter.
