Tiger Woods is taking an indefinite leave from professional golf to work on saving his family, using the word "infidelity" for the first time in a statement posted on his Web site.

Woods said he is aware of the disappointment that "my infidelity" has caused to his wife and children. He says he might not be able to repair the damage, but he wants to try.

He did not disclose Friday evening how long of a break he would take from the PGA Tour. He again asked for privacy, saying his family would need a "safe haven" to try to heal.

Too late. His marriage is over. He thought he could pay his wife to stay with him. I am glad his wife is not going to stand by him.
 
It is pretty stupid to pay his wife millions of dollars just to stay with him. There was no love and there was nothing special about them. Woods should know better than that. No matter how much money you will receive, it will NOT make you happy.

Of course he is just as human as we all are.

*shrugs* what he did was wrong and he knows it but of course...why should we know his private life when hes actually famous for what he is good at? golf. so we should see him as a golfer than what kind of a family man/husband he was cause whatever happens to him happens to him and not us so....I wish the media just pay alittle more respect to this. I bet he is very much embarrassed which caused him to quit golf for awhile.

Of course, when you are rich and famous, you lack privacy in your life, and that sucks.
