The Texoma Council for the Deaf will meet from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Nov. 4 at the First Christian Church, 800 W. Woodard, in Denison. The non-profit group serves Grayson, Fannin and Bryan Counties.

Meetings are open to anyone who is deaf or hard of hearing, the oral deaf, parents of deaf or hard of hearing children, American Sign Language students and teachers, interpreters and anyone interested in learning more about deafness. The group is currently in need of more participants, new officers and new board members.

The TCD provides information and education about deafness, the latest technology available for the deaf and hard of hearing, education about voting, registration and political issues affecting persons with disabillities and is a resource for new, deaf families moving into the area. The group also holds social events throughout the year.
