Taxing Non born American citizens? Immigration, tax?

This sounds like a great idea what was presenting on FOX NEWS. If youre not born as american citizen you should pay an Immigration tax like states charge you local Immigration income tax from 4% to 9% and Federal Immigration Income tax like 10% extra.This would make Immigrats pay extra for living in america.But if your child is born in america they pay no Immigration tax.So in other words its taking a chunk right out of your pocket if youre not born in america.The money will go towards extra border secuirty. Border weapons to fight illegals comming to america and a Border wall. This sounds like a good idea.So if you want to live in freedom YOU PAY THE PRICE FOR LIVING IN FREEDOM! So you have a choice,,You can live here and pay more or you can simply go back to mexico or your native homeland.

Um, no. Sorry, but not everyone in America is a xenophobe. Some of us actually believe in the idea of the "American dream" and the idea that people should be able to immigrate. The suggestion that immigrants should pay extra income taxes because they want to live out that dream is just absurd and xenophobic.

Immigrants should pay the same taxes as the rest of us, nothing more, nothing less.

Actually, another absurd detail about US tax law deals with emigration from the US... If you move out of the US, you still have to pay income taxes if you work abroad (and you still pay income tax to the country you're living in too). The US is one of only three countries that insists on taxing its own citizens that don't live in the country (the other two are the Philippines and Eritrea).
