Ap | Grand Forks Herald | Grand Forks, North Dakota
State school Superintendent Wayne Sanstead says he has been involved in preliminary talks about using some of the space at the North Dakota School for the Deaf for a Devils Lake Community Center.
Sanstead says the proposal would make use of campus facilities and benefit the community as well.
"Certainly from the perspective of the School for the Deaf, we see it as a strong move forward," he said.
A Devils Lake committee is putting together a plan to lobby the Legislature next year. The lawmakers would have to approve any proposal to use state property.
