Kim Robertson, from Catrine in East Ayrshire, has created a gadget that makes museums more accessible for visitors with impaired hearing.
The portable device gives users the option of captions, subtitles, sign language or enlarged text.
The 21-year-old's invention won her the British Museum Award and an Adapt Trust Award in prize money totalling £4000.
