That's interesting. The stem cells for blindness are just repairing the cornea, which is a surface structure and very easy. They have been doing cornea transplants for many years.

It won't help people like me who have blindness originating in the retina .

The stem cells for deafness is going to be a lot more complicated, but I think he is right that it will be appreciated a lot by late deafened people if they can make it work.
