Sprint Nextel Corp. (S | charts | news | PowerRating) announced the launch of full-scale Sprint IP Wireless Relay, a new Sprint service that allows customers who are deaf or hard-of-hearing or who have a speech disability to use wireless relay services on their BlackBerry phones.
The company revealed that customers can use this service to communicate with any standard or mobile telephone user in the United States via a free downloadable application and simply select a contact from their address book or enter a phone number with accompanying text instructions to a Sprint IP Relay Operator.
