Details: The presenter will address what she has regarding research on “Awareness of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.” She will discuss the demographics of Deaf and Hard of Hearing People in the United States and will talk about the basics of how to communicate with Deaf people. There will be an opportunity during the presentation for practicing communication. A clip from the movie Through Deaf Eyes will give a brief history of deafness. The presenter will briefly discuss deaf culture and personal stories from deaf friends of mine.
