The Press Association: Soap stars skydive for charity

Three soap stars have jumped 10,000 feet from a plane to raise vital funds for deaf children.

Rachel Shenton, Rob Norbury and Craig Vye completed the brave task in aid of the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS) in Bicester, Oxfordshire.
Shenton, who plays aspiring glamour model Mitzeee Minniver, has gained a qualification in sign language. Her father was deaf for the last two years of his life.

She said: "The skydive was the most incredible thing I've experienced in my entire life. I thoroughly recommend it to everyone.

"The cause is very close to my heart and I encourage everyone to get behind NDCS in helping to overcome the challenges deaf children face in everyday life."

Norbury, who plays 17-year-old Riley Costello, added: "The experience of skydiving is amazing.

"It's fun, exhilarating and pretty scary, and great to know we're doing it all to support a really good cause."
