Seven Scientists charged with manslaughter for failure to predict earthquake

I would predict a MAJOR earthquake if I were them. On their court date.

That should prove a thing or two.

:laugh2: Can we export him to Italy and pay for his citizenship there? :giggle: On the other hand, the Italians might think it's an unforgivable sin on our part.
 
wow...um....I know that it's extremely difficult to predict when a major earthquake will come. So far, all we have is the technology to detect the real-time seismic activities, but in the article....it said the scientists failed to predict in the 6 months previously??!?! I suspect it's much more difficult to predict the earthquake behavior than the weather behavior a year in advance.
 
These charges probably shook them up quite good.
 
Wish messymama would come in an comment on this one. She is in Italy. Be nice to have an Italian cultural pespective on this.
