But that's not it... Sen. Kit Bond insults deaf people too..

“Just this past week, we saw what Barack Obama said about judges,” Bond said. “He said, ‘I’m tired of these judges who want to follow what the Founding Fathers said and the Constitution. I want judges who have a heart, have an empathy for the teenage mom, the minority, the gay, the disabled. We want them to show empathy. We want them to show compassion.’”

That's what we need.. judges who are empathic and understanding and fair. He thinks the disabled is no good... and makes fun of a teenage mom... *sarah, isn't your daughter knocked up?*

Oh wait, doesn't Sarah's son have downs syndrome? We must warn the public that Obama will want to nominate a judge who's empathetic to kids with downs syndrome. We don't want that, do we?!

And the minority should not have rights...

Ok, go to hell.

I'm with you, Netrox! I was born with spina bifida, so this affects ALOT of people. Sarah Palin parading her child on stage like she did at the RNC was sickening. I would hope anyone with half a brain would see through her BS!

Oh yes, I was disturbed by her carrying her infant on stage. It seems to be all about the "show" than anything else.

But again, the aide to Palin said that she had no regard for her family, she was bent on having power.

No different than Obama's show at the stadium in Denver.....

Maybe that'd make USA a bit too soft. But then again, the gays could be frightening when they're not soft.

The difference is that Obama was giving a political speech (something politicians do, correct?). He wasn't parading around his children like circus animals for all to see.

Don't worry, guys. This isn't as bad as it sounds. It has nothing to do with wanting to keep down gays, disabled people, minorities, or anyone else. The concern is about equal protection under the law- blind justice. Some people are concerned that Obama will put up judges that will give extra consideration to certain groups instead applying the law equally to everyone. Even if you disagree with that concern, they have no desire to keep those groups down- just at the same level as everyone else in the eyes of the law. If their intention was to keep those groups down, I would be outraged as well.

You have a distorted idea of equal.

What did he do at the end? He had his children there with him. No different than what the Republicans did at theirs.

I couldn't see that for myself, so how would I know? I stand corrected.

If one is to be an informed voter--they would've paid attention to both conventions.

I did pay attention to both conventions. I just didn't know Obama's children were on television because I can't see the screen. (By the way, I knew about Palin holding her son Trig because one of the commentators mentioned this).

And I am an informed voter, thank you very much. That's why I'm voting for Obama. :)

Sorry--I didn't know you were visually limited.

Actually, you're wrong here.

And someone should ask Kit Bond what would happen if McCain became president and started appointing judges that opposed abortion, same-sex marriage and stem cell research? Of course, Kit Bond probably doesn't care about any of that but god forbid that Barack Obama appoint judges that are compassionate.

Well, she had to bring out her youngest son, so her pregnant daughter could hold him in front of her with a blanket to disguise her pregnant belly. Duh!

Okay......

Have to remember that each family are at different stages of life.
