Nah, the more I think about it, the more I think Bott is right. It doesn't make sense that the Secret Service would leak something as important as this to the media.

When the Secret Service talks about candidates, they don't call them by name. They call them by code name. These names used to be Top Secret, but now with secure communication, the government doesn't mind sharing them. See if you can guess the code names of the candidates and their spouses.

According to established protocol, "good" codewords are unambiguous words that can be easily pronounced and readily understood by those who transmit and receive voice messages by radio or telephone regardless of their native language.

FYI everyone, It is not a Leak. The USSS provided them to media like NBC news which I just watched recently that it has no secrecy issue. Used to be top secrets before radio communication was not encrypted just like what Jiro said above.

That's what I thought. I don't see any reason for the Secret Service to deliberately leak this kind of information.
