Whoa!
Romney Raises $40.1 Million in April, Nearly Matching Obama - NYTimes.com

The rate of how much money he raised easily outpaced Obama's considering the fact that Romney began partnering with the RNC in the final week of April. A fact that the NYTimes conveniently ignored. Obama already partnered with the DNC for over a year. We will have a full month of Romney partnering with RNC to go with his campaigning schedule with no primary opposition for the month of May and see exactly what the results will be for the month of May.

More info...
Republicans are demonstrating they can be financially competitive with the Obama campaign. The president's re-election team and the DNC raised $43.6 million last month. The Obama campaign said the average donation to the Democratic presidential effort was around $50 and that 98 percent of donations were $250 or less.

According to the Romney campaign, 95 percent of donations were $250 or less, raising $10.1 million. The campaign received contributions from all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
