THe best deturnt you can buy is Anything with the chemical called "DEET" it is toxic only IF it is used incorrectly and is easy to follow the on label directions. yes it is a toxin but the amount in the solution is low.
citranilla as a plant is toxic if your bets eat it it could easily kill them and it takes a lot of it to deter the pests and it reeks
citranilla mixed with catnip is mildly helpfull
body oder is a great wepon perfume and deodorant attract sketers they like the sweet smell , sweat is a deturnt.

S.O.S does work! But I can not use it. The smell of it gives me a major headache! Literally makes me sick to my stomach.

I can not stand it!

I used to use it on my kids, when they were babies. Because I did not want to use Deet on them.
