Registration opens for special needs summit | Education | Idaho Statesman
The Idaho State Board of Education will host a three-day summit on the future of educational services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, blind or visually impaired.
The summit will be held July 30 through Aug. 1 in Boise. Location of the event has not been announced.
Parents, students, policy-makers and professionals who work with students who are deaf or hard of hearing or with visually impairments are encouraged to participate.
The summit is expected to bring together participants from different areas to explore how to meet specific needs of the students. At the end of the summit, participants are expected to write a set of recommendations for a future service model to be submitted to the state Board of Education.
