Calling all North Myrtle Beach area golfers - here's your chance to hit the greens during the first official weekend of summer and help out a good cause at the same time. The South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind will host its 2nd Annual Benefit Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 24, at Eagle Nest Golf Club in Little River. The tourney begins at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start and will feature a captain's choice format.

Hole sponsorships at $100 are sought. North Myrtle Beach and Little River businessmen should contact SCSDB representatives listed below.

While drop-in rates at Eagle Nest Golf Club is $45, you can help out a fine institution, compete for prices and get lunch and beverages for only $5 more. Sign-up fees are $50 per person or $200 per group of four.

All proceeds will benefit SCSDB's outreach programs.

The South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind is a specialized instructional and resource center. It provides services statewide for individuals who are deaf, blind or sensory multi-disabled, their families and the professionals who work with them.

SCSDB offers programs for preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, sensory multi-disabled, vocational and postsecondary educational students, as well as a variety of outreach and support services. The main campus is located in Spartanburg, and regional centers are located throughout the state, including Conway and Florence.
