Questions on Humans Used to Live in Hills

I am doing it for my novel book and other short stories, so... I want your opinion and possibly help me to find good information about humans lived in hills.

Since I did ask Little_Details on LiveJournal about that, and I'd been so waited for mods' approval or not... I hope they help me out.

Anyway - That point is about humans who used to live in hills very long a time ago.

I tried to search for that information in a couple of weeks and no luck...
I remembered when I was in 10th grade of ex high school and I read some mag book about histories until I noticed something so interest but I didn't remember where they were from and how they did build their homes in hills. I put that book away. Later, at present time, I popped out one thing about "humans in hills" and I googled it up, and used answers.com and other webpages, and etc etc... all I got was... houses on hills, diseases, and etc etc that is NOT what I look for. =/

I wonder if anyone, here, know about that?

Discussion, suggestion, and whatever it is helpful and good information are very welcome, of course.
