Public invited to help at deaf school's garden | Statesman Journal | statesmanjournal.com
Members of the public are invited to lend a helping hand in the garden at the 2-acre Oregon School for the Deaf Urban Farm.
The volunteer event is from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the farm, 999 Locust St. NE.
The group will plant, spread compost and rake mulch.
People who plan to help are asked to bring water and a snack. Although tools will be provided, helpers are welcome to bring their own tools.
