PS3 service goes after Xbox Live Arcade

With a keen eye, IGN noticed a job offering floating around the internet that is described as looking for a "a superstar engineer with a strong graphics background to develop an unannounced downloadable title for the PlayStation 3 launch in November."

So we all know that Sony's PlayStation Network Platform wants to compete head-on with Microsoft's service, but this gives even more fuel to the fire in their effort to tackle Xbox Live Arcade with downloadable games as well. That Game Company posted the call for programmers, and it turns out they want to bring the trippy web game flOw (that's free) to the next-gen console. This begs the question: What other downloadable games are being cooked up for the PS3 service? Guess we won't know until November.

lol...so the PS3 and Wii are trying to get the best downloadable contents like Xbox360 has it...the orginal Xbox has Xbox live first and is the most popular online service ever seen with more than one million users world wide. The question here is, would PS3 and Wii try to catch up to be on the "throne" of the most popular online gaming service? who knows?

We all know that Wii would bring alot of videogame classics, including the genesis and turbo something...anyway the rumor on the prices seem to be pretty cheap...if you download the nes classics, it might be like $5, if you download the super nes classics, it might be like $8 and if you download the N64 classics, it could be around $10. so it sounds pretty good, but even if you download them, would you be able to save them to play it again later or if you take a break from the old games, would you have to start all over to play them again? who knows?

If I get the Wii, I would only be getting that to play the backwards capablity of gamecube games. and if the Retro controller could work on some Wii games such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl, then I can give it a try. I already love super smash bros. melee on Gamecube.
