Not knowing sign language is something I regret my parents allowing me to make a decision on (I do know the alphabet/numbers!). When I was around 8 years old, they took me to a class to learn sign language and IMO, I could hear just fine and didn't see the need for something I'd never use so we never went back... So yes, I do plan to learn sign language because it is an invaluable tool for anyone to have.
